A teenie tiny update

Well here we are 10 months into Kaliber's life. It goes so quickly. Just the other day Rem and I were trying to remember what it was like to have a newborn...we hardly could do it. Kale's doing a wonderful job of trying to walk. He uses this little walker and goes all over the place. He's FINALLY sleeping through the night. Although, that means he wakes up earlier which can be rough on ol' Momma. Ha!
I'm busy trying to plan for his first birthday party. I think it's probably going to be a fairly large party since we have so many family members and friends with kids. I've decided on the circus theme and are going to have little booths set up with activities etc. Yah, I am crazy. But, I figure it's for my baby and it's only a few hours out of one day. So, I'll have to let you know if I make it alive and just how crazy I'm getting with the shin dig. If anyone has any fun ideas throw them my way! Other than that, life is pretty hectic with the daily up keep of having a family and working. Props to all those Mom's that work full time and take care of a house! It's freaking hard!!!

Super Fun Times

It's hard to believe that Kaliber is almost 10 months! Every day I look at him and think "holy moly, where has the time gone!" He's busy taking his first steps (with the walker of course) and talking to anyone and everyone (gibberish of course). His new favorite thing to do is wave hello
and good-bye to everyone. He even has said buh-buh (bye-bye) a couple times. Last Sunday he took one of his first wagon rides to the park with Grandma, Grandpa, and Mommy. He loves riding in the wagon while he screams to the world about how fun it is. We took him to a nice little park that has all sorts of good stuff to do. So, you would think that we would start him off on the baby slide to see how he handles it. Well, if Grandma Karen's around she's gonna start big and so she went to the tallest twisty slide possible. After the tall climb up the stairs, Kale and Grandma came screaming down the slide. I was lucky enough to catch his first reaction of the slide before realizing it was fun. They ended up sliding a few more times and each time he squealed with glee.

Kaliber loves to ride in the wagon!

Fast forward to this afternoon (Sunday). We had a good handful of people here to watch the game etc. I also had RaeAnn come over and visit with her two little girls. Among all the hub bub of people talking and what not, Kaliber found his way to the front door that was open. One new thing he's learned to do is open and shut doors. You can already probably tell that this isn't going to end well. Kale decided to shut the door and before I knew it, I heard Grandpa say "oh crap his fingers!" I ran over there just in time to see him start crying a terrible cry. His little fingers had gotten pinched under the hinge of the door!! Poor baby has a nice little open wound on his middle finger and his ring finger is swollen. He sucked it up like a big boy while my stomach is still churning from the sight and sound of him. Well, that brings ya'll up to speed on Kaliber. Rem is doing well and got a raise. I am still waiting to hear from the Rec Board if we are going to pursue this whole personal trainer thing. I hope everyone is doing well!

Something's up!

Well, I have some hilariously funny pictures or rather a picture of Kaliber and Santa. Unfortunately, blogspot won't let me download ANY pictures for the time being. So, if I did not send you the pictures of Kale and Santa and you'd like to see them, email me and I'll get them to you.
We had a wonderful Christmas! It started on the 20th with Rem's parents and opening presents. Then we went to Wichita and celebrated our 5 year anniversary while my cousins watched Kale. That night we went to a hotel where Rem's Mom's side of the family were staying and having their Christmas. We came back and packed on Sunday and were off to New Mexico on Monday! Kaliber did a wonderful job of traveling etc. His schedule did get messed up but that's to be expected. We came back from NM on Sunday and literally dropped off all our luggage and presents in the kitchen and were headed off again. We spent Sunday afternoon with Rem's Dad's side of the family for their Christmas! We have finally settled down from all the hub bub but I must say, my house is still a wreck! I just can't pull it together right now. Oh well, such is life.
Kaliber is doing really well and makes the funniest faces all the time! Thus, the santa picture you all need to see! He still has not gotten one stinking tooth but hey, whatever. He's really close to walking and loves to dance to any kind of music. It's hard to believe I'm already starting to think about his one year birthday!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Love you all!
